Why is quartz stone countertops easy to bleed?

What is the most important thing in the kitchen? The countertops of the cabinets do your part. Washing, cutting, frying, and serving are all done on the countertops. But after 1 year, I found that the quartz stone countertops at home bleed. When I bought it, the merchant said that it would not bleed. I asked the master who renovated our new house in a puzzled way. He said that my quartz stone was made with the wrong production technique, which made it easy to bleed.
Why does the quartz stone countertop bleed?
According to the explanation of the decorator, we know the manufacturing process of quartz stone countertops, which is the key factor in determining whether it bleeds. What kind of manufacturing process is better? The answer is die casting process.
Quartz stone on the market is made by two processes, one is die-casting process, through a series of procedures such as vacuum, high temperature, high pressure and high vibration; the other is casting process, where raw materials of quartz stone such as quartz sand powder and resin Pour into the mold, and then evacuate the gas to form a vacuum.
Casting quartz stone has not been subjected to high temperature and high pressure, its density and hardness are relatively low, and it is easy to bleed and burst. Therefore, our quartz stone is made by casting process, and it bleeds after 1 year.

How to distinguish die-cast and cast quartz stone?
It is very simple to distinguish between the two production processes of quartz stone. The decorator told me 3 steps, namely, seeing, marking, and comparing.
First step: Look, look at the particles on the surface of the quartz stone. Because die-casting undergoes high pressure, its particles are evenly distributed, and the number of particles on the front and back is not much different.
The casting is made by an inverted mold, the particles are not uniformly distributed, and there is a big difference between the back and the front.
The second step: scratching, the Mohs hardness of the two is different, die-casting is more resistant to friction than casting. After die-casting undergoes high temperature and high pressure, the Mohs hardness reaches 6 or above, and ordinary hard objects scratch the surface without any traces.
The Mohs hardness of the casting is lower than 4, maybe I say that you don't understand it, so I will give a small example to explain that the average person’s nail is about 2.5 Mohs hardness. If you use your fingernails to mark the cast quartz stone, it may leave marks.
The third step: comparison, the weight of die casting is much heavier than casting. The internal structure of die-cast quartz stone is dense and very stable, so it is dense and heavy. The structure of cast quartz stone is sparse, the interior is unstable, and the density is small, so it is light in weight.
Therefore, as long as the samples of quartz stones are compared with the specific weight in your hand, you will know what manufacturing process they are.
